We aim to get your new battery to you as quickly and safely as possible. All orders placed through turnersservice.co.nz/shop are shipped or installed by our Turners Service network across New Zealand’s major centres. This policy explains the delivery timeframes, service options, and areas we currently support.

1. Delivery Options

We offer two delivery methods:

Option 1 — Standard Delivery (1–2 Working Days)

Our standard shipping service delivers your battery within 1–2 working days, depending on your postcode and courier schedules.

Delivery Areas Eligible for 1–2 Day Shipping

This service is available only within postcodes located in:

  • Auckland
  • Hamilton
  • Tauranga
  • Wellington
  • Christchurch

If your delivery address falls outside these regions, delivery timeframes may vary or the service may not be available at checkout.

Shipping Fees

Standard delivery fees (flat rate per order):

  • Auckland: $14.99
  • Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch: $24.99

Delivery is to your door only. This service does not include installation.

Option 2 — Battery Installation at Your Home or Workplace

For customers wanting a full end-to-end service, we offer professional battery installation at your chosen address.

Installation Fee
  • $69.00 (fixed price)

This includes:

  • Delivery of the battery
  • Full on-site installation
  • Safe removal and recycling of your old battery
  • Basic electrical checks (voltage & charging system check)
Installation Availability

This service is available only in the regions where our technicians operate:

  • Auckland
  • Hamilton
  • Tauranga
  • Wellington
  • Christchurch

Appointments are scheduled after checkout. Most installations occur same day or next day, depending on technician availability and your location.

2. Order Cut-Off Times

  • Orders placed before 1:00 pm are typically dispatched same day (for 1–2 day courier delivery).
  • Orders placed after 1:00 pm, weekends, or public holidays will be processed the next business day.

Installation bookings will be contacted directly by our team to confirm your time slot.

3. Delivery Conditions

Delivery Address Requirements

  • A physical street address is required.
  • We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or Lockers.
  • Someone must be present for installation bookings.
  • For courier deliveries, the courier may choose to leave the parcel in a safe location if authority to leave is granted.

Weather & Access

For installations:

  • Vehicles must be accessible (not in restricted parking or underground areas requiring swipe access).
  • Severe weather may require rescheduling for safety reasons.

4. Failed Delivery Attempts

If a courier cannot deliver your order because the address is incomplete, unsafe, or no access is available:

  • The courier may leave a card-to-call, or
  • The parcel may be returned to our Mount Wellington warehouse.

Re-delivery fees may apply.

For installation bookings, if our technician arrives and cannot access the vehicle or location, a call-out fee may apply.

5. Tracking Your Order

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking link via email.

If you haven’t received tracking information within one working day, contact us at hello@turnersservice.co.nz.

Installation bookings receive a confirmation call or text from our team.

6. Shipping Restrictions

Due to dangerous goods regulations and weight limits:

  • We can only deliver or install within New Zealand.
  • Batteries cannot be shipped by air to offshore islands.
  • Rural or remote addresses may be ineligible for installation.

If your address falls outside our service zones, the website will notify you at checkout before payment.

7. Lost or Damaged Deliveries

If your order arrives damaged or does not arrive within the expected timeframe:

  1. Contact us at hello@turnersservice.co.nz
  2. Provide your order number and any photos (if applicable)
  3. We will work with the courier service to resolve the issue quickly

All damaged-in-transit claims must be reported within 3 working days of delivery.
